How to use the water pump for the arduino smart garden opla

Hi I'm trying to make the smart garden and it requires some type of water pump and I don't know how to use that with arduino could someone tell me how?

Are you watering a few indoor plants or a big outdoors vegatable garden?

Doesn't matter. They state the relay will be used to control it. So most any small pump that will fit your plant situation and water supply will work. Looks like they only have half a project for you so they can advertise and sell their stuff.

You can probably start with an alarm clock type of project and substitute the relay when you want to add the pump. Add a display and you have a smart water clock.
