How to use transmitter and receiver on Adafruot Trinket

Hey everyone, I am trying to make a transmitter and receiver system with two Adafruit Trinkets. In the item description it says it does not have a Serial Port and on all the tutorials and examples of code I found, it uses the Serial Monitor to do so. Is there a way to transmit and receive a signal without the Serial Monitor? I am using a 315Mhz transmitter and receiver. Thanks.

ps, I found it by googling "software serial attiny85".

Yes, I read the thread but it does not apply to my issue. The attiny85 can use the Serial Port, while the Adafruit Trinket cannot even use it.
