How to wire up a Songle SRD-05VDC-SL-C relay?

Hello community.

I have here a single Songle SRD-05VDC-SL-C relay. (Not the break out board... only the relay itself)

I would like to use it... but have no idea how to wire it up. Please can someone explain me how to do it. I am quite new to all this stuff... it would be nice if you could explain very simple and clear ;)

It has on one side 3 pins and on the other 2 pins. What connect to what?

Thank you.

Go google the datasheet, https://www.ghielectronics.com/downloads/man/20084141716341001RelayX1.pdf And look up the pinout diagram.

Works for all components - of course you can just go and work it out with a multimeter in resistance mode.

Thank you MarkT for your help. The pinout diagram wasn't really helping me (can't really read it yet). But it brought me to this page, which I understood better :) http://tutorial.cytron.com.my/2012/08/01/identify-terminal-pins-of-a-relay-without-reference-to-datasheet-2/

So, got it connected and working fine.

Doesn't the relay require a transitor? (For example a BD139)

The output current of the digital pin is 40mA, a Songle 5V relay requires about 72mA.

If so, how to wire it up?

Thanks in advance!

Something like this

I saw that and it lead me here: http://www.ecs.umass.edu/ece/m5/tutorials/relay_tutorial.html

But that guide doesn't have any images of the relay that I have.

Which relay do you have? Brand, part number, link?

The tutorial from this resource is not available anymore: http://www.ecs.umass.edu/ece/m5/tutorials/relay_tutorial.html

Does anyone know where to find it?

Thanks in advance.
