How's the Launchpad doing?

Been looking at the some of the TI Launchpad's reviews. So far i've gathered that it's cheap and no so easy to use? but a lot of those comments were semi old. So how's the launchpad doing now?

is price the only advantage over the arduino?

edit: wow i just saw this 120MHz board. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiva-C_LaunchPad and it's only $13

any arduino equivalents?

Tiva C launchpad is great for its price. The equivalent would be the arduino Due, but it's more expensive (but has more flash and sram).

The launchpads can be programmed with Energia IDE, very similar to Arduino. If you want to do hardware debug Tiva board has onboard debugger, but you must use the code composer studio to debug it.
