Or
use the IDE "copy for forum" ability and paste it here.
Or
type three ticks, type or paste your code then type three more ticks.
The last one is very nice on the desktop but a PITA on an iPad while designers have made getting certain characters into a bit of a challenging, er, game.
Oh, that </> makes the ticks, never mind⦠nice!

There is an automatic function for doing this in the Arduino-IDE
just three steps

As an alternative to backticks (`), you can also use tildes (~):

I'm not familiar with iPad keyboards, so I don't know if that's any easier to type.
Let's see
Hmmm tildes, need to shift for each one
Oh - ticks are right there (different iPad)

haha, argh!
I can't find the tick on a small iPad. On a big iPad it's right there just like a "real" keyboard. And Apple seems to know of some characters that you're not going to want two (or three) of them in a row and reverts the shift status after just one, These are new tricks and I feel like an, well, you get the point.
So this </> thing is what and all I will use.

I just use
code
and
/code
in square brackets [ and ] like we used to do.
apple-purism: it just has to be thin and fancy
because all that rich glamour-girls do with it is
"Siri -call me a taxi to where I'm standing right now"
