Which ESP8266 module was used for this tutorial?
Have you read all of the chapters in that link, starting at the first one?

I did.
He mentions the modules that are good to use, but he doesn't say which one was used specifically by him for the example. I am guessing he thinks they are interchangeable, but to be safe, because this is my first attempt at this, I would prefer to use what he used.
