M'n naam is Maxim, en sinds 2 jaar ben ik door functie verlies in men schouder mijn carrière als brandweerman verloren door medische fout (niks aan te doen, en alles uit eigen zak betalen -.-)
Intussen is de pijn dragelijk, maar heb ik heel beperkte beweging en nog steeds chronische pijnleiden... Dit alles heeft weinig waarde voor jullie, maar schetst wel men vraag.
Mijn grote passie is het uitlaten van honden... Maar elke wandeling bleef ik zwerfvuil vinden, dus besloot ik een gefabriceerd karretje mee te nemen en het probleem aan te pakken ipv me te frustreren.
Omdat dit toch belastend is op men prothese, vroeg ik me af of hier niemand me kon helpen (ik ben technologisch leek) om een basis karretje te maken dat vanzelf volgt.. dan hoef ik dit gewicht niet mee te sleuren en kan ik met gemak een beetje men steentje bijdragen aan het milieu.
Ik heb enkel een stevige basis nodig, die me/een chip/men gsm kan volgen. Daarop bevestig ik dan men vuilbakken en poepzakjes (mogelijks ook wat lampen voor de veiligheid)
Basicly i am disabled die to bad surgery in my shoulder.
I started to walk dogs to relax and have a small income ( i used to be a firefighter for 10 years).
While walking the dogs i get angry at all the trash .. so i started collecting it with a hand pulled cart.
This Hurts so much for my shoulder that i would like to create a sturdy Arduino BASE to mount 2 bins on, that follows my phone.. this way i don't have to pull... Can walk my dogs (who are attached at my waste) and keep nature clean
be kind to yourself. You are that person that is together with you 24h each day. And to this person you should be always kind. Beeing kind can include throughts like "it was wrong to do that" etc. but in a kind attitude still smiling.
Just like a mother that loves her child even in case the child has broken the third glas today:
"My darling you're so clumsy but I can't be mad at you"
Does this beeing handicaped mean that you are unable to work in a normal job?

An automatic human following cart is a medium sophisticated task.
Do you know of a Fab-Lab near to where you live?
I think it would be a very intriguing project for hobbyists to build such a cart
Even if the Fab-Lab is at a greater distance it should be possible.
I used the 2 years of surgery and down time to reeduxate myself.
Im now in a starting dog boarding of my own.
(Homely way and approach, we socialise and train your dog and daily walks are included.)
So, i would not want to swap jobs no.. the only thing i want to achieve here, is An easier way to pick up litter while i walk my customers.
Also yes my disability holds me baxk from any normal job. I am in constant pain so in need of a lot of breaks and main reliëf + i Cant stay in one position for to long.

I have understood this. A human following robot is not that kind of project almost every Arduino-hobbiest is doing as his third project and could easily send you the code and building plans by email.
this sentence could be understood as: "can somebody handover the code and the ready to mount parts?"
It is not a must that you personally are learning it all and building it all. This is the reason why I suggested to ask a fablab where coder-enthuisiasts and maker-enthuisasts are building things and have access to 3D-printers, CNC-mills etc.
You wrote you just want the electronics and software-part. Anyway for making suggestions about this part you have to describe most circumstances.
In the arduino-forum some own effort is expected. The first thing is to write a detailed description of the planned project.
Are you only walking on tarred / paved ways?
or are you walking through grasways or forests?
is it inside your town pretty busy with bicycles, cars and other walkers?
What distance in km are you walking in one day ?
how much weight shall your cart be abke to carry?
How much money would you like to invest.
A highly sophisticated LIDAR-system that detects your body automatically following automatically will cost much more than a simple IMU-sensor based system where you have a device in your hand and the cart moves into the direction you tend the controller

Beste Maxim, ik leef heel erg met je mee. Dat je je leven zinvol wil besteden, daar kunnen we alleen maar respect voor hebben.
Wat je vraagt is niet niks. Je vraagt als het ware een kleine zelfrijdende auto die je nog eens op de voet gaat volgen ook en dat, uiteraard, zonder ongevallen te veroorzaken. Niet 1, 2, 3, te realiseren.
Dat er techneuten thuis of in community bezig zijn met wagentjes die zelfstandig zich door een gebouw of labyrint bewegen is zeker. Maar hier zitten ze niet op de openbare weg. Een autootje dat eens tegen een muur of kast rijdt is dan misschien wel schadelijk voor het wagentje maar stoort voor de rest niemand.
Is een soort bolderkar met aandrijving niet beter geschikt? Een 'gashendel' à la elektrische step en een gelijksoortige aandrijving? Alleen met aangepaste snelheid van bijvoorbeeld max 5km/h. Ik bedoel geen stint. Daar zaten de personen op de bolderkar. Ik bedoel eerder een aangepaste kar zoals deze.

Ik heb de banden ook nog nodig om gebaar commando's te geven aan de honden.
Daarom hoopte ik op een traag volgend karretje. Ik loop dan ook niet op drukke wegen... Eerder buitenpaadjes waar mensen graag storten.
Het zijn ook slechts 2 kleine vuilbakjes (zo die die ze op straat aan palen hangen) dus echt niks groot en gevaarlijk

schrijf maar eens ik heb wel motortjes liggen en een simpel karretje (robot is prima, ) kun je de riemen van de honden ook nog aan doen dus heb je minder belasting. gebruik in eerste instantie een joystick karretje (zal het meebrengen naar de makerfaire in eindhoven) ik weet van een grasmaaier waar iemand opzat die was ook met een arduino gestuurd.
