This does not sound like a problem with IDE 2.x and hence your topic has been moved to a more suitable location on the forum.

I'm not familiar with the boards that you use and can't help further. It might however help others to help you if you post your sketch (don't forget the code tags as describe in https://forum.arduino.cc/t/how-to-get-the-best-out-of-this-forum/679966#posting-code-and-common-code-problems and a wiring diagram.
