I plan to add one 16*2 led display and an isd1820 voice recorder with a 0.25W speaker for sound. But I think laptop cannot power all this. So, what Li ion battery to choose and how to decide its capacity if I want it to work for 4-5 hours and power arduino along with it too without the requirement of laptop
Calculate. 64 leds x 60mA = 3.6A at full white. Only based on that, multiply by 5 hours and you need an 18Ah battery. Your Arduino will add 50 to 100mA per hour for the Arduino. And i don't know for the others, check datasheets.

Yes, but who is going to run 64 LEDs at full brightness for 5 hours?
Maybe the OP, who should build this thing and get it running with a regular power supply and get some realistic ideas about maximum current draw and use of power over time.
When you do switch to whatever battery you decide to employ, design and build or use an off the shelf battery management module… and exercise appropriate caution.

But it won't be 18 Ah at 5 V, since you can't get a 5 V Li Ion battery. You will need a higher voltage but lower Ah battery and a switchmode "buck" converter to derive your steady 5 V.
Thank you everyone for your reply. I am using this in college chess project. I won't be using all leds all the time neither all sensors all the time since there are maximum 32 pieces and 64 sensors A3144 connected to shift register. I wanted to know what things I should keep in mind while deciding battery for this project.
Also, is it Icc that I need to look in datasheets. If so, then A3144 sensors uses 9mA, leds(ws2812b) 50mA, shift register 74hc165 50mA, 16*2 led display 200mA + isd1820 with speaker 0.25W (could not find mA for this one, would be greatful if you can tell).
I use 64 A3144 sensors, 64 leds, 8 shift register, 1 display, 1 voice recorder with speaker along with arduino Uno.
