Mods who move things generally add comments to say what has happened.

But in which forum does that comment appear?

I realise the notifications; a new user should get these while I have them filtered (not blocked).

If someone really can't find a topic they have created then they look in their profile

I suppose that is easier in the new forum software. It was incredibly difficult under the old!
