I can not get my code compiling

I recommend the MobaTools-library for two reasons:

1.) the MobaTools-stepper-functions work "in the backround" which makes it possible to execute other code in parallel to creating the step-pulses

2.) you can use absolute ad relative coordinates.
When using absolute coordinates (number of steps) you just set the new target-point and the library automatically determines the directions.

But it is also possible to use relative coordinates (number of steps) where the direction is set by using positive or negative numbers.

You can download the MobaTools-library with the library-manager inside the Ardunio-IDE

If you have any questions about details how to use the MobaTools-library just post your own code combined with your questions here in the forum.

You should show some own effort by posting your own code.
And you really, really should post code as code-sections like described here
