I can`t code!

Hey! I can`t code for an arduino and want to ask if s.o. can code for me?
It would be great!

In the picture you find at the link below you can see that I have three buttons. every button is for one floor. the elevator should move from one floor to another floor where the button was pushed! this would be cool! thx

This is a duplicate of the topic that you asked to be moved to the German section

If you want someone to write the code for you then the correct section to ask in is Gigs and Collaborations. Do you want your two existing topics merged and moved there or shall I just delete this one ?

If you can't code at all and you can't even Google "Arduino elevator" to find some code that has already been written then I don't think Arduinos are for you.

Steve

When is your assignment due? From your need for haste in your other thread, I was thinking tomorrow. If that's the case, go to bed and be prepared for a poor grade. If you have a week, people might be able to help you improve what you have, although even that's pushing it.

You should probably post some pictures and circuit diagrams in this forum - most folks here don't want to have to look for your stuff in some other site.

Edit: more pessimistic

That’s a decent build, and it looks like you’re not much good at taking or posting photos either !?

We need more than:

Assuming someone (I assume that's what "s.o" means, I always thought it was significant other) is willing to help (and that your deadline hasn't whizzed past already) you would need to explain what it is that lets the elevator know it has arrived at the correct floor. I see an ultrasonic sensor in one of those photos; is that going to sense the height of the car above the ground? Or is there a switch at each floor that the car presses against? Or an optical sensor that's obstructed by the car? Or is it enough to do it by time, where you tested it takes "x" milliseconds to travel from floor to floor? Also n.o* can code motors to run without knowing what Arduino output pins are supposed to be made high or low or pwm'd to make the motor run this way or that at whatever speed, and to stop.

Even if you can't code, surely you built the machine according to some logic (even if it's in your head), along the lines of when I press button and the sensors say "yadda yadda", will happen until the sensors say "fish paste".

So write that all down here, maybe with a flowchart, and perhaps someone can come up with some rough code.

  • that's "no-one"
