I can't even seem to manage download the IDI and God I've tried

I am not lazy. I have googled and read . I am getting the message its damaged can't be opened move to trash.

Google says this is my Mac not letting me download 3rd part app so I go to Preferences and Security and Privacy and have clicked the box App Store and identified developers .

There is nothing though that identifies what a identified developer is. I mean no box that says allow Arduino. That might be significant

I Have High Sierra 10.13.6

I have down loaded the legacy IDI's not the current one.

I think I have that right

Small boy not impressed . Normally Papi knows everything , Brought the official Kit both of us itching to see what its all about.

Happy to answer any Q's . I have spent hours trying to sort it. Zero.
