I can't get my Arduino Zero to connect to my computer

Hi everyone,

I recently bought my first Arduino and I have a problem with it.

I can't connect it to my computer. When I plug a micro USB cable into the Arduino and into my computer, the Arduino lights up and blinks but my computer doesn't show that it's connected. I've looked up in the COM ports on the computer but found nothing. I've tried to use 3 different USB cables, I've tried it on a different PC and on a MAC, I've uninstalled the driver, uninstalled the Arduino IDE software and I've tried to reset the Arduino.

Because my computer doesn't see that there's an Arduino connected to it,when I try to upload a sketch, it says that it's unable to find a CMSIS-DAP device and that ther's no Jtag configured (which it also does when no Arduino is connected).

I'd be really happy if you could help me because as long as can't get it to connect to my computer my Arduino Zero is basically useless.

Thanks in advance for any response!

PS: I use a Windows 10 computer and the Arduino IDE software version 1.8.12.

I think you need a later version of the IDE. Looks like 1.8.6 or later

I think that's the boardmanager version.
I already have installed the latest boardmanager version.

What I'm more concerned about is that my computer can't even "see" the Arduino.

Thanks anyways!
