I Cant install arduino mega

Ive just received an arduino mega, but i cant correctly install the drivers. Even i tried the autoinstaller i found in this forum.

¿Maybe it is unprogrammed? ¿how can i program it?

sorry not to mention it. im using windows 7. It doesn't seem to be a drivers issue.

¿how can i know if the arduino is programmed?
