I can't open Arduino IDE after installing. I read some posts and did as the instructioons. Here is the reslut

Can you think of any reason why the IDE can't create the .arduinoIDE directory? Virus scanner? Company policy (if applicable)? Anything else?

You can try to create that directory yourself and see if that results in progress.

Just in case, which version of Windows?

Thanks to you, i knew what was the problem and fixed it by allowing full control permission for everyone for this folder. And it worked. Thank you

Not sure if it's a good idea to give everyone access to your user account.

Why are you not in the list of user names? I have SYSTEM, myself and the Administrators in that list.

It's my personal laptop, there is only one user account and i am the only one using it so it should be fine. Or No?

I don't know. You might in future add another user and forget about the setting.

I'm always a little weary when it comes to security.
