I cant upload code and it gives me this

so I pluged in my new arduino uno and used some code I got from sun founders website for a simple blinking LED circuit and this happened...I cant find any info on this?

Arduino: 1.6.9 (Windows 10), Board: "Arduino/Genuino Uno"

This report would have more information with
"Show verbose output during compilation"
option enabled in File -> Preferences.

Sounds like you got a board with the CH340 chipset.
These require different drivers from a regular REAL arduino.

Google CH340, download and install the drivers.

I looked over the board and all the component models are the same as a stock arduino

Maybe post a good quality picture of the board ?

And include any other details of your setup.

sorry I can't post a photo (it wouldn't be high quality enough to even make out the logo)...and I just uploaded some code to the board and this happened (I didn't have any shields connected or anything other than the usb)

Its pretty hard to help without much detail.

May I suggest you search the forum for the phrase "avrdude: stk500_recv()"

You are going to have to work through quite a few answers but I am pretty sure you should find something to aid you.

Concentrate on the win 10 answers as this problem crops up quite a bit. I don't have win 10 as I still consider it far too intrusive just yet.
