i connected my arduino to my computer, but it does not respond

Hey,

I connected my arduino uno to my computer and it does not respond. the board turns on, but i can't upload any thing to it. I used it a couple of times already, so it did work before.

This report would have more information with "Show verbose output during compilation" enabled in File > Preferences.

This is the error that arduino gives. When I try upload sorting on my arduino mega it will give the same error. I don't know what to do, can you guys help me plz???
