Hey,

I connected my arduino uno to my computer and it does not respond. the board turns on, but i can't upload any thing to it. I used it a couple of times already, so it did work before.

Arduino: 1.6.7 (Mac OS X), Board: "Arduino/Genuino Uno"

This report would have more information with
"Show verbose output during compilation"
enabled in File > Preferences.

This is the error that arduino gives. When I try upload sorting on my arduino mega it will give the same error.
I don't know what to do, can you guys help me plz???

Are you sure the computer can acknowledge your Arduino board? Sometimes there are plenty of issues, as for example, in Win8 or Win10.

Is there anything connected to pins 0 or 1 of the Arduino board? Remove them.

Failing that, do the loopback test. Does that work?

Hi ppl,

New to Arduino and got my starter pack today. I did my homework reading the manual, watched the tutorials and so on. I have the same problem as the other users which i cannot solve.

I have the right board selected (GENUINO UNO)
The port seems fine (/dev/cu.usbmodemfd121)
I am using a macbook with OSX 10.5.5

Also i did a couple of things that you guys suggested in previous posts: Nothing is on the digital pins 0 and 1 (now is totally free of any jumper, shield etc - Totally naked except the USB cable).

I hope a gentle soul is patient and will rescue from frustration....
