I erased my arduino due and now ...

Hello!
I pressed the erase button to my arduino due and now it seems that I can't to load more sketches.

Just now I have received my new arduino and I load the first led sketch and run perfectly, with delay of one second, after, I pressed erase button to delete the sketch and when I load other sketch or the same sketch, doesn't run!!! Although when I load the sketch, the usb led is running ok.
I have tried combinations pressing the buttons erase and reset, and nothing...

Why would someone place that kind of button?

Arduino Due Guide:

"The SAM3X microcontroller differs from AVR microcontrollers because the flash memory needs to be erased before being re-programmed. A manual procedure would involve holding the erase button for a second, pressing the upload button in the IDE, then the reset button."

But... what delete exactly when you press "erase"? or something more?
