I’m a Arduino newbie

Hi… I just purchased some Arduino hardware and am attempting to make this happen: is this programming possible ?

  1. Rotate a FEETECH brand 35KG Servo Motor 360 Degree High Torque Digital Servo..
  2. Need the servo to rotate a full circle, stop and back to starting position
  3. Need this process to be slow ..1 minute will work..
  4. Need this to happen every 15 minutes from 7pm to 7am
  5. The servo has a 3 volt laser mounted on it and needs to be on only when the servo motor is running
  6. I am using a Arduino uno board

Welcome to the forum

What you list is quite possible to do with a Uno but note the following :

  • the servo must not be powered directly from the Uno 5V pin. An external power supply is required
  • the servo must be able to have its position controlled rather than its speed and direction. I am suspicious from your description as to whether that is possible with the servo that you have. Please post a link to the servo so that we can see its specification

Ok thank you so much for your reply.. I do have a separate power supply.. here are the servos specs..

  • HIGH ROTATION SPEED SERVO: A high-torque servo, the rotation angle is 360 degrees (at 500→2500μsec), when the power is stopped, it can rotate 360 degrees. Dead width ≤ 4 μsec. Durable and reliable.
  • STRONG STALL TORGUE MOTOR: The operating voltage range is 4V-8.4V, the stall torgue is (6V) 400.65oz/in(28.8kg/cm), (7.4V) 493.86oz/in(35.5kg/cm). The servo size is 55X20X43mm.

I’m willing to pay $$ to get this project completed !!

Do you want the topic moved to the appropriate forum category ?

Sure

If this will be a request for paid assistance, it would be better to change the topic title to something more informative about your project

The topic has been moved. Please change the title to something more meaningful

Sounds like you're making a sign for a business.

No.. I’m not.. I’m making a automated laser to keep geese off of my daughters quarry…

Please heed the advice to change the title of the topic otherwise it will not attract the attention of someone who can do the job

Hi,

Please heed any rules and regulations about laser operation on a worksite or public place.
What is the laser supposed do to the "keep" the geese away?

Tom.. :+1: :coffee: :australia:

Turns them into Phoenixes.

:astonished:
