I need help in selecting the right FONA

Hi

I need help in selecting the right FONA:

I need a module, which supports authentication to send and receive short strings using MQTT protocol (preferably SSL/TLS). Sometimes I’ll need to get longitude and latitude.

The possibility to make and receive voice calls will be a plus, which I’ll be happy to have.

TinyGSM includes examples for Blynk, MQTT, File Download, and Web Client, so the 2/3 of the job is already done, but seems compatible only with the Adafruit FONA - Mini Cellular GSM Breakout, which is 2G.

I’m worried because 2G seems an obsolete standard here in Europe , and I’ll prefer to buy a 3G, but the Adafruit FONA 3G Cellular Breakout - European version seems not supported from TinyGSM.

I ask you an advice to build the MQTT structure easily. What do you suggest: TinyGSM + Fona 2G or Fona 3G with other libraries?

If Fona 3G which libraries do I have to use ?

Thanks

A.
