i installed Arduino im so lost on the coding part cause its not showing up like it shows up in the sessions, im no lost

Which version of the IDE have you installed ?
I installed the Arduino 1.8 Legacy IDE
We have weekly playback sessions with instructions on how to build but I’m stick on how to code on Arduino because it’s not coming up coded for me
