I need help

Hi! I need your help to know what it means in the programation

byte* (This asterisk)
"->"
"::"

Is it abbreviating?

Thanks!!

“byte*” - a pointer to an unsigned char (aka byte).
“->” - structure dereference
“::” - scope resolution operator

useful reference here

BTW, not a good thread title.

AWOL:
"->" - structure dereference

I would say "structure/object POINTER dereference".

l7luan: You should find a C++ programming book such as Amazon.com: The C++ Programming Language, 4th Edition: 0000321563840: Stroustrup, Bjarne: Books or read online tutorials such as C++ Language - C++ Tutorials or watch a YouTube tutorial such as C++ Programming - YouTube .

The OP is clearly trying to interpret some existing code. I rather suspect that the main obstacle to understanding the code isn't going to be C++ syntax.
