Looking for this kinda of controller ( http://www.servocity.com/html/heavy_duty_linear_servo__115__.html) . I have the linear acuator but the company will not sell the controller by itself ($300 bucks).
Any one know where I can get one or how to make one?
For $299, you can probably can make one yourself. Get a linear actuator like below with an internal pot, an h-bridge off of ebay to drive the actuator motor, and the internals of an inexpensive servo to drive the h-bridge. There is a similar setup on youtube if you do some searching.
That thing probably has nothing more than a reversible motor [red and black wires], and a
limit switch on each end [green, white, and yellow wires inside the box, with one being the
common]. The controller is basically little more than a DPDT switch.
Hook up a battery, and run the motor untill the arm is fully out or fully in. Check the limit
switch wires with an ohmmeter.

No, they are true linear actuators using an internal pot for feedback signal to the controller to allow moving the actuator to any desired position using the same servo pulse timing as standard R/C servos, 1000usec to 2000usec pulse width.
