I need technical advice

Please, can I connect the lis3dsh directly with ESP8266 mini as show in the attached. My target is I don't want to use the breakout board because of the size. I want to insert the accelerometer in a tool then connect the I2C or SPI 4 wires to the ESP.

If You post links to the datasheets of the devices the chances for replies increases a lot.

No, if your LIS3DSH comes as a SMT (Surface Mount Technology) package as shown in the product picture you shared, using a breakout is pretty much your only way to interface it with any kind of MCU board. You could solder individual wires to the soldering pads on the bottom of the LIS3DSH, but that'll require a fair bit of skill as those packages are really small and intended for automatic assembly and soldering, not for hand soldering. Aside from that, you're probably out of luck.

What @taschi said, plus the bare chip may need external components to make it usable. See the data sheet.

You gotta make a breakout board first. You can get some ideas from here: LIS3DH Hookup Guide - SparkFun Learn

Looks like the breakout board could easily be reduced by a third by removing the sections with the mounting holes (although I have not seen the back of the board) just means sticking it on with no holes.

The OP may have trouble sourcing the device since Mouser has none. Also the device needs two capacitors right at the power pins, so some type of breakout board will be needed.
