I want to try to repair one arduino uno rev3 and one ethernet shield

Hi all :slight_smile:

A couple of months ago, a 12v power supply broke down and shows 24v..The result was that the two boards mentioned in the subject, stopped working from overvoltage (The Atmega328 works fine)..

I'm looking at the datasheets for see the especific model of voltage regulator and resistor and I did not clarify me...

Can anyone clarify me what is the exact model of both components in both boards?

Thanks and regards :slight_smile:

For UNO R3, you want the U1 (top right corner) that is the NCP1117ST50T3G.
For Ethernet R3, you want IC4 (middle right) that is the same component that for UNO, and maybe IC5 that is the LM2734Y (this one for 3.3V rail).

Hi Luis, one question..

Just changing the regulators, will work ?? Anything more like near resistors ??

I don't know. Do you try to connect it via USB? Did it work?

No no, I have not yet purchased.....

I was talking about now, without any change. That component converts the input voltage to 5V, but you can get 5V from the USB too. You can try, before you buy the components:
1- connect to the USB and see if the board works;
2- remove the damaged component and repeat the process.

If the component, before "burn", lose the regulation and send more than 5V to the board you can have more than only one component damage.
