I am Looking for a high precision range finder that can easily be controlled with an arduino ie has a library.
Does anybody know if any exist?
Precision min 0.1mm (better if possible)
Range between 10cm and 150cm ( closer not necessary further is always fun)

That sensor doesn't exist...
Using light/radar: clock must be THz.
Using sound: to many uncertain parameters. (temp/humidity/air pressure)

A sensor that you describe would be probably 3000+ US dollars. I am not sure if you budget would fit. A sensor with 1mm precision after calibration is around 1200 - 1400 US dollars:

For around 2 -3 mm resolution you can take it at 30 bucks or so:

With sound, yes, you stand no chance.
But with light using phase modulation you can do it. Example:

You can find better (I've seen 0.01 mm ; can't find the link), but I believe the poster miss-typed the 0.1 mm resolution considering their prices
