I2C wire colour standards?

Hey all,

Is there a suggested / standard colour (or even color 8) ) scheme for I2C wires?

I wouldn't have thought so because the standard was originally designed for connections on the same PCB so the connectors would be copper tracks.

KenF: connectors would be copper tracks.

So sort of "copper" coloured then.... dark copper for SDA and light copper for SCL?

Or gold plated ;)

Probably the closest to a standard you will find... http://www.dexterindustries.com/howto/connect-the-arduino-and-the-lego-mindstorms-together/

Blue / yellow. I have often seen that pair color used for communications.

Striped - dots and dashes!

I use green for SDA, and yellow for SCL. That's just my own standard, since data gives me a greenish feeling and a clock yellowish ;D

The dark colour could easily be confused with brown so, you'd have users hooking it up to the mains if you're not careful. I think you should use the colour that copper is once it's been painted.
