i have a ibt-2 to control a dc motor
but the strange thing is that i don't need to connect de vcc is this true

only installed 1 pwm wire and 2times 5volt on the enable pin.
when gnd is connected everything works already.
i see no reason for the vcc pin

strange thing is that i need to enable both left and right to

i wil only use one pwm dc motor wil not turn the orther way

When you connect some voltage to some control pin of a chip, it will phantom-power the chip throught the ESD pin protection diodes. That's usually a bad thing that can fry the chip.
Better connect that VCC.
