I'd like to make a mini vending machine that read bills & coins

Hello,
This is my first post ever, ive checked the others section, and this seems like the good spot to post in.
I've never touched an arduino of my entire life, but ive played with vb6/js/python for quite a while now.
i'd like to make a mini vending machine, but i don't know which component to purchase to begin with.

What i need:

-an arduino uno wifi ( i just bought a REV2)
-bill acceptor ( bought an APEX bill validator )
-a little screen
-some others thing to actually make the "vending machine"

I'd like some guidance with that to begin with
aka what part i should buy, any tips is appreciated
Or just a link to a project like this would be greatly appreciated
Thanks for your help !

The very best plan forward is to buy an old vending machine similar to the one you want to make. Dis assemble it so you can see what parts you need to manufacturer. Then consider how to control it with an Arduino.

The bill acceptor has been around for a long time is a very complicated device. Many of the methods used are still propratity after many years. They do not patent them because of the disclosure rule. My suggestion is follow what Paul recommended and plan on purchasing the money testing parts. If you make a mistook your customers can bleed you dry. I would suggest you do several tutorials on the arduino and be sure you understand it and what it can do. You can also purchase the arduino cookbook, it is a good tutorial on the arduino and accessories.

thanks for the tips, i bought a little starter kit for the arduino to get used to it and start some project.
