IDE 1.6.8 still problem while compiling

Hello I've just downloaded the IDE 1.6.8 on MAC OS 10.11.2. Since IDE version 1.6.6 I had this error message everytime I tried to compile a sketch.

Library/Arduino15/packages/arduino/tools/avr-gcc/4.8.1-arduino2/bin/avr-g++: no such file or directory

Now with 1.6.8 this error still persists and I've tried everything possible now, but I can't get it to work. If anyone could help me, I would really appreciate it.

  • Rename Library/Arduino15 to Library/Arduino15backup
  • Restart the IDE if it's running
  • Try to compile

You will need to reset your preferences after doing this and reinstall anything you previously installed via Boards Manager. Let me know how it goes. Per
