The solution? My ASUS LX301 has difficulties to refresh while scrolling horizontally or vertically. Do yourself a favor, don't buy ASUS
when I scroll compiler's/loader's messages at the bottom of the sketch, either with the wheel or by moving the right scroll bar the text is not always refreshed correctly and can become garbage. See attached pic. When using arrows / page up/dn it works fine

OK How about you start by reading this and then adding as much of the missing information as would be expected of somebody with over 250 posts under thier belt !
Simple things like OS etc etc etc.
uninstalled/reinstalled 1.8.2 and I can no more reproduce this misbehavior. Chances that I did something wrong with the theme file.
@Ballscrewbob: good questions. I try to make robots but have difficulties behaving like one and so I may occasionally disobey to the Low. I'll certainly end up in hell
