Hi
I'm running Mac OS Sonoma. When I try to add a new device Arduino IoT tells me I need the latest version of the CreateAgent. I've version 1.4.1 installed, which is the latest offered for download, so installing this doesn't solve the problem. Please can you assist,

Hi @squashplayer. Do you see the Arduino Create Agent icon in the macOS "menu bar" at the top of your screen?:

The color of the icon on your computer might be different than in the graphic above, but it will look like an Arduino logo.

Thanks for the speedy reply.

Yes, the Arduino Create Agent icon is showing and it is black with white logo. If I pause the Agent it turns grey.

This problem could be caused by certain security restrictions of the web browser blocking the communication between Arduino Cloud and Arduino Create Agent.

I'll provide instructions you can follow to configure Arduino Create Agent so that the communication will not be blocked:

  1. If it is not already running, start Arduino Create Agent.
    ⓘ If you see an Arduino Create Agent icon on the macOS menu bar then it is running.
  2. Control-click on the Arduino Create Agent icon on the macOS "menu bar".
    A menu will open.
  3. Select "Generate and Install HTTPS certificates" from the menu.1
    A "You are making changes to your Certificate Trust Settings" dialog will open.
  4. Enter your macOS user password in the "You are making changes to your Certificate Trust Settings" dialog.
  5. Click the "Update Settings" button.

After doing that, try using Arduino Cloud again. This time Arduino Cloud should be able to recognize that Arduino Create Agent is running and everything should work as expected.

Please let me know if you have any questions or problems while following those instructions.

Thank you for the response.

I tried the instructions and initially no improvement. But after 2-3 attempt the device is being recognised. I tried a 2nd device and that also was recognised.

Thank you so much, hopefully it will now behave as required

I've just progressed the setting up a device. I can get to the stage where I name the device, but then it comes up with "Could not find Arduino Device" message when I progress to the IoT set up stage.
