Help! I downloaded Arduino IDE and installed it. Everything was fine, but when I opened it, it wouldn't work and the logo just kept pulsating.
Hi @anon16182816. Please add a forum reply here to tell us which operating system you are using (e.g., "Windows")?
I ask because I would like to give you the appropriate instructions for your operating system.
Sorry for the late reply but I'm using Windows. Since I had Ubuntu also installed, what I did was I installed Arduino IDE on Ubuntu and it worked perfectly. Regardless I would like to run it on windows as Linux is still quite new for me.Thanks in advance!
Follow the instructions here: IDE hangs on startup - #4 by ptillisch.
I suspect that it's a system time issue. If the output contains Error verifying signature: openpgp: signature expired, you will need to fix the system time.
For dual boot systems, you can read Solving the Ubuntu-Windows Dual Boot Time Discrepancy | by Sanjula L. | Medium; I did successfully apply the solution at the Linux side.
Thanks! I forgot to sync the time on windows. Once I set it up it works.
