So, I have an Arduino Nano with ATmega328P.
I also have a new MacBook Pro. Obviously, I have to use a USB adapter/hub in order to plug a usb device into the computer, since the new MBPs only come with USB-C ports. Other peripherals work with this hub. The IDE seems to recognize that the nano is plugged in, but returns the following errors when trying to upload software to the nano:
