Idea and question about Pure Data

Hi all

Is possible compile Pure Data Anywhere for arduino Yun ?

My idea is PDAnywhere and external USB sound card. Yun is 400 Mhz processor and PD Anywhere working in ARM and MIPSEL microconrollers from 300-500 MHz great (like game consoles GP2x, Caanoo, Ipod, PalmOS and other)

PD Anywhere links and source codes http://gige.xdv.org/public_html/pda/

Oficial Pure Data links http://puredata.info/

Many thanks info

Hi all

Nobody interesting about audio posibility?

Many thanks anything info.

Kamil

First usefull packages Madplayer - working with external soundcard

What is next ?

Any audio fans idea ?

Yun's team decide no break out any GPIO pins of AR9331, one of them is very important for audio appilcation -I2S.

I2S, also known as Inter-IC Sound, Integrated Interchip Sound, or IIS, is an electrical serial bus interface standard used for connecting digital audio devices together. It is used to communicate PCM audio data between integrated circuits in an electronic device. The I2S bus separates clock and serial data signals, resulting in a lower jitter than is typical of communications systems that recover the clock from the data stream.

Audio application at Yun does not go far.

FYI:

I´m using madplayer with usb sound card and sound not too bad.

This is better than arduino PWM output.

A class-D (PWM amplifier) amplifier or switching amplifier is an electronic amplifier where all power devices (usually MOSFETs) are operated as binary switches. They are either fully on or fully off. Ideally, zero time is spent transitioning between those two states.

High-end audio is generally conservative with regards to adopting new technologies but class D amplifiers have made an appearance.

Hi Kamil!
Did you manage to run any kind of synthesizer on the yun? Pure data would be great of course...
