identification of pro mini

I recently bought a pro mini. I have tried uploading programs into it through the UNO. but to no avail. Now my question is hoe do I identify if my pro mini is a 3.3v or 5v?

You could look at the voltage regulator if it has one.
You could also look at the crystal as most 5V ones are 16Mhz and 3.3V are all 8Mhz I believe.

You didn't ask this, but if you are going to work a lot with the Pro Mini, buy a USB-to-TTL adapter.
That's what I did.

oh that I did. I purchased an FTDI convertor rs232. but the same result. it shows errors like
"programmer not responding" and " not in sync". After all this i ended up in the UNO thingy.. but it still shows the same error :frowning:

Just a quick note but many boards need the TX connected to the RX and vice versa as many have either the wrong printing or even none.
