Hi All
I am working on taking a Razor kick scooter and making it electric with Arduino. I am working on a charging solution, and will probably end up using an XLR charger. I was wondering what the connector on the end of this ( http://www.monsterscooterparts.com/3-prong-charger-port-3-wires-razor-mx500-mx650.html ) XLR port is.

Ehh, could it be an XLR with 3 contacts?!
IIRC I have seen such connectors in theaters for lightshows / profi audio ? ...

That is correct.
It is used for the DMX and DMX 512 protocol.
They have 3 or 5 contacts.
The connectors are also used for PA purposes, as microphone and signal connectors.
