About a year ago I bought a cheap 400 x 240 3.5inch TFT Screen. No idea what controller, but seems to have 18bit support. Can anyone identify this screen (and controller) and importantly, has anyone had success getting it tor work? I have it directly wired to MEGA2560, but no luck to date getting it to work with the UTFT library. Just blank screen from backlighting. Have only used DB0 to DB15 for data. No Idea what to do about the other 2.
All help appreciated - am a beginner.
Tried searching the forum already without luck, but may not have known what to look for so apologies if this has been answered before.

My first(or is it second) dumb question...
What are the resistors needed for- is it simply that the screen is operating at a lower voltage?
If so, how do you determine this?
also, if I wired it up without the resistors, am I likely to have killed it?
