I see there are many posts regarding these displays and many useful replies from David Prentice. However, all of these topics were closed so I could not join in. I apologise in advance if my question has already been answered.
So I have this module but the pins are in an 18x2 arrangment, very similar to a Mega board. The descriptions beside the pins do not match up with the Mega pinouts.
My question...
Have I purchased the wrong board for use with the Arduino Mega ?
Yes. Your display has a pinout for some STM32 evaluation boards.
It doesn't have the level converters needed for the data lines.
You can buy an interconnection module, search for "arduino mega display shield".
