This will be my last post here. Since I purchased this service several months ago, I have had nothing but problems. The app is forever hanging and kicking me out, data on the dashboards is not up to date, cloud schedules do not save unless I attempt it several times (and the time trigger never works right), and the entire service is a let down. I even feel as though I were compromised once, as a (thankfully) prototype project just started going on it's own after months of working fine.
Fortunately, I was able to find an alternative to this, so I finally got everything moved over and now everything is working correctly. Arduino, I want a refund. If I don't get one, I'll see you in small claims court, and I'll go for legal fees and triple damages. I'll be in touch with you about this, I suggest you not ignore it like you've done my numerous pleas for help.
If you're new here and you're thinking about buying IoT paid plans, DON'T. Run far away. It's more buggy than not, it's not even close to safe, and even the free plan isn't worth the money you pay for it.
I can see why you are angry but not sure why you are posting here, very few people who work for Arduino actually read this forum. It is mainly all volunteers.
I hope you have read all the "small print" in your contract that you agreed to when you signed up.
All of the small print goes out the window when they failed to deliver the service that I paid for. It's called "breech of contract". I work at a law firm, and I have documented all of my failed communication attempts, as well as the service failures and many bugs & issues with the service. I have more than enough to establish BoC in court.
Just the fact alone that they will have to hire an attorney here in my state (or send one of their own here) will make it exponentially more expensive for them, even if they believe they can win. They're better off settling. In my state, small claims allows for triple damages and legal fees, so if they lose, they lose even worse. It would be in their best interests to just issue the refund.
Oh, and to answer your question, I also post here for the benefit of others. As I stated, if there's someone new who is considering making the purchase, I want to warn them.
Failure to provide a paid service is "substantive" enough.
Defamation, like slander and libel, does not apply when the claim is true. I did not say that the CEO of Arduino murders babies. Nothing I said is false or defaming. Perhaps you should look up the definition yourself.
Plenty of people take attorneys to small claims, so you're just showing your ignorance here.
A refund, even a pro-rated one, is all I want, Sherlock. Read my original post.
The only thing you established with your less-than-worthless post is your complete ignorance of the law, definitions of words, and total lack of reading comprehension. Congrats.
