I'm having trouble get a program to compile.

I download the .ino from GitHub - jw0k/serial2ti83: A program for Arduino Uno that makes it possible to connect a TI-83 calculator to a computer. I loaded it .ino and click the compile and upload button, but I keep getting an error. I have not changed anything in the .ino. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

I have attached the log and here is the error I keep getting.

exit status 1
stray ‘\302’ in program

Log.txt (11.1 KB)

I suspect you downloaded it the wrong way and got strange characters mixed into the code.

When you open the .ino file in GITHUB select the RAW option and copy and paste that version of the code. It compiled fine for me.

looking at the log, I don't think you did....

Did you try click on 'Raw' button and simply copy any past the code into a new blank sketch?

That's what I tried and it compiles with no errors for me....

hope that helps...

PS: Robin2 beat me to it!

Hi,

Then look down to item #7 about how to post your code.

Thanks.. Tom...

Thanks for the help. Copying the raw info worked.
