Hi! I'm new. I'm not that good at programming yet but I've build a couple of projects and now I'm wanting to make a multifunction cosplay gun and I want it to change weapon types with a dial. Basically I want to turn the dial and push it and it say the weapon and then when the trigger is pulled make a sound and light up corresponding lights. I have this kit with most of the parts unused:

and the gun should be shaped kind of like this:

Anyone have any programming ideas on how to get these things to do what I want would be very appreciated.

Using a ChipCorder IC or similar product is one way to go about it. You can easily connect a small amp and speaker to it and use the speaker to digitize the sounds, then play them back using the Arduino as a controller.
