Just bought Prusa i3 MK2 3d printer and I can't get it working, due to electronics. I've updated the firmware (old & new) listed on website about 30x. The printer uses a "RAMBo mini" I believe is what they call it...though it is some type of Arduino board. I'm hearing AtMega, but no promises. Some folks suggest they have been "running there's on the Marlin add-on," which I have found either on their site or on GitHub, where they have a "rapository." I am totally exasperated, because I am getting little help from them, and though I consider my general knowledge base in these areas as expanding, I'm far from familiar with all the jargon and everything.
After following the build instructions and attaching the electronics, the LCD didn't turn on. After I reoriented the LCD cables and seemed to download the correct firmware, I got the LCD display to come up, but the control knob doesn't work and the LCD doesn't recognize the SD card. Can someone assist me with a walk-through troubleshoot to help me diagnose the problem. I would be forever grateful. I know, that's awful cheap compensation, but it's the thought that counts, right? I can upload a picture, but honestly, you probably wont't see anything but a mass of cables. There are 5 step motors controlled on the left side of the board, with the two sets of power cords from PSU on the bottom left, along with 3 fuses 2 (5V) and 1(15V)--they're working, I checked. At the bottom right there are the inputs for the hotend & the heatbed. In the middlethere are a bunch of fans. On the top right are the electronics for the endstops and the pinda probe. And just under that are the two sets of 10 pin connectors for the LCD. At the very top is the port for a printer/USB connector next to two LED lights that either tell me I definitely have something wrong (either not on, or blinking yellow) or, I might be on the right track (solid green). Again, any help would be greatly appreciated. Will upload pictures at your request. Thanks & God Bless,
G
