IMO the moderators cherish silencing away clearness

today I got a posting removed and I received an automated message that it is either
the community feels it is offensive,
or
abusive,
or a

violation of our community guidelines

of course I can't change the removing of postings
and of course I can't change the community guidelines
and of course I can't change moderators attitude.

though I want to state that removing this posting IMO is cherishing a style of trying to "silencing away problems".

Additionally just removing it and sending an automated message leave me wthout knowing if the moderator found this posting

offensive,
or
abusive,
or a

violation against forum-rules and in case of that which one

best regards Stefan

Would your post that has been deleted be the one where you accused the OP of the topic of being "selfish and egoitically" (sic) ?

It was probably me.
Found one of your posts way less than constructive.
Moderator's don't always have to explain a reason.
In fact that is usually a rare happening.
System often generates it's own reply so there is usually no further need to add anything else.

It was REPORTED and action was taken based on the report and viewing the topic.

That is unfair, insulating, and bullshit.

Of course you can. A reasonable way to start is with a direct message to the moderators.

Those guidelines were established by this community. Which means you, with this community, can change them.

And, even now, three hours later, you've not actually asked for an explanation.

Is there a “contact point” for “the moderators”, to ask questions like that? Or should we just look up who the moderators of the topic in question and PM all of them?

@moderators should work. Either in a post or direct message.

Which I see is clickable to show a pop-up menu that includes Message.

Starting with a trusted moderator is a good choice. We all have those weird shaded shields by our monikers.

when I want to draw attention to something I click on the flag under the post

and pick the option

where you can provide context

I don't know where it goes but I always had a moderator come back to me pretty quickly - so they are quite efficient !
