Hi all complete noob here, I'm currently hoping to design a small Arduino device to possibly fit into my sons football helmet to determine how hard the collisions with his helmet can be. I want the device to be really small and wireless to the main board i have a small battery perfect for it and am looking at the NRF24L01 wireless connectors to communicate between the sensor and the Arduino board.
Currently looking at these forums and online have stated the ADXL375 accelerometer is a good sensor, but is it good for my idea or is there a better sensor out there.
thanks all
An interesting project. I am sure you agree that your device will have to be attached somewhere on the OUTSIDE of your son's helmet. Do you think he will be allowed to play with something attached to his helmet that could badly injure another player?
