Do note the warning in pink writing under "Description".
What about desoldering braid?
Would that be safe?
LOL
Damn and I was hoping to use it in the shower with my un-earthed soldering iron, on the other hand its colour would clash with my shower curtains.
Tom.....
I think I need to try it. Hard to believe that a device capable of withstanding liquid metal at 200°C or so can't handle H2O at a mere 40°C
This product is not waterproof and can not be used in the shower
Yes it is and yes it can.
Heath and safety gone mad.
You mean i can no longer shower and solder at the same time, it was great for washing off the flux!
Hi, before you try it in the shower, do a JSA, Job Safety Analysis. OH&S.
Tom...
Imagine the heat capacity you would need in a soldering iron capable of maintaining temperature in a shower of ~110F water...
I can only assume the warning is due to the safety issues related to the lack of visibility on account of all the steam such an iron would generate.
