IMU Range Requirements For Hand Held NDT Probe

Hi There
In general the smaller the range of your gyroscope,accelerometer and magnetometer measurements are, the more accurate the Device. So im wondering if any one has had any experience with using IMUs for hand held devices which are not used for very fast movements. For example would a suitable gyroscope,accelerometer and magnetometer measurement range be; 250 +-°/s , 2 +-g, 6 +-G, respectively.

By NDT you mean NonDestructive Testing? Those would be some pretty small motions.
