in and out puts

Hi there, I'm building a and logic gate circuit with 2 switches, and 1 LED. How can I do this?
I have it programed as one switch then just hard wired in another, but ideally I'm hoping when I press one button it will send a signel to the board to give power to another port. Then the power can run from this port to the next switch. Any ideas how I can do this?
Thanks

I'm hoping when I press one button it will send a signel to the board to give power to another port

if (digitalRead(inputPin) == LOW)  //adjust the logic to match your input wiring
}
  digitalWrite(outputPin, HIGH);
}

EDIT

As has been pointed out the code above is wrong. It should be

if (digitalRead(inputPin) == LOW)  //adjust the logic to match your input wiring
{
  digitalWrite(outputPin, HIGH);
}

@HeliBob:
Is the plan to never have outputPin LOW again ?

Then you just have to replace the first closing brace } by an opening one {

Of course you can also alternatively simulate a wire by some code and two wires:

digitalWrite (outputPin, digitalRead(inputPin) );

@lukeob123:

"switch" and "button" are equivalent,
"port" is what we usually call "pin"
"power" means some voltage level

?

What's the Arduino got to do with this?

Hi there, I'm building a and logic gate circuit with 2 switches, and 1 LED. How can I do this?

Simply put the two switches in series, then wire one end to the +ve and the other end to the resistor and LED and finally the LED to ground.

However I suspect that is not your problem, it is this:- X-Y Problem

Thanks for the help, I'll try that in a while hopefully I get it working
